Ali Qapu palace which is a unique example of palace architecture in the Safavid era was constructed under the order of Shah Abbas I in the early 11th century A.H. The monarch received special envoys in this palace and held his audience here. There are five floors in this palace and each floor has its special decorations. During the reign of Shah Abbas II, a royal parlor (Shah Neshin) was added to the main building and the sovereign and his guests watched polo, illuminations, fire-works and the dramatics that took place in the Nagsh-e-Jahan Square from the halls of this elegant palace. This palace was also called 'Daulat Khaneh-e-Mobarakeh Nagsh-e-Jahan' and the 'Daulat Khaneh Palace'. Babak Castle, also known as the Immortal Castle or Republic Castle, is a large citadel and National Symbol of Iranians on the top of a mountain in the Arasbaran forests, which is located 6 km southwest of Kalibar City in northweste Iran. It has been identified as the stronghold of Pāpak Khorramdin, the leader of the Khurramites in Azarbaijan who fought the Islamic caliphate of Abbassids. Makhmal kooh is one of the mountains in Lorestan province with more than two thousand nine hundred-meter height is located in the North East of Khorramabad. The high mountains on both sides leads to two strategically important Strait that throughout history has seen many events.
The southe part of the Makhmalkooh leads Boroujerd to Khorramabad road, when Reza Khan where on arrival to Lorestan was witnessed bloody wars and conflicts. The century-old Mir Baha-ol-Din Bridge or Old Bridge is the oldest and largest standing bridge on the Zanjan River (Zanjan Roud) which was built in the Qajar era (1785-1925) by a merchant of the same name. This brick bridge is 100 meters long and 7 meters wide. The highest point of the bridge is 11 meters from the water. The bridge has a large middle arch with two smaller arches on either side. The Kordasht Bath is a historical structure located in the central section of Jolfa in East Azerbaijan province. The Bath and Kordasht Village that it’s situated in are on the southe banks of the Aras River . It is bordered by peaks of Armenia on the northe side and the Kamtal Mountains in the south. Its geographic location enables it to have mild winters and warm summers. Salasel Fortress is located on a hill overlooking Shatit River in the city of Shushtar. In pre-Islamic times water from the river passed beneath the Fortress and was redirected into different parts of the city. The Fortress was in use until the Qajar period as a center for managing the water of the river. The exact date of the construction of the Fortress is unknown but it was possibly built during the Parthian or the Sassanid era. Existence of Parthian clays in the area is strong proof to this claim. Espakhoo Fire Temple is one of the oldest structures in Iran's North Khorasan province which according to the studies and excavations, belongs to the Sassanid era. Kurdish dance is a group of traditional hand-holding dances similar to those from the Middle Easte countries. It is a form of a circle dance, with a single or a couple of figure dancers often added to the geometrical center of the dancing circle.
